Installation: working clothes, irrigation system, used plasterboards (drywall), carpet, paper

In the small room at the back, I created an even more confined space — something akin to a wardrobe. Enclosed by drywall and a suspended ceiling, it’s built from materials that have become recurring motifs in my life.
Inside this improvised wardrobe are worn workers’ clothes, a storage area for shoes, and a peep/glory hole. Beyond the hole lies a model of the space where Goldgeist is obscured — a toxic substance used to exterminate clothing/pubic lice (Kleiderläuse, so-called Schamläuse). A liquid seeps through the holes in the drywall, as if trying to express some kind of suppressed longing or desire.
