F90 refers to the fire-resistance rating of certain materials — such as plasterboard — which can withstand fire for up to 90 minutes. I spent almost exactly 90 minutes trying to disinfect workers’ clothing with steam, standing on a fragment of a reconstructed wooden parquet floor. This floor had been burned a few years ago when the sun set a cloth soaked in turpentine on fire, left behind by someone painting.

The performance began with the first rays of sunlight hitting the wooden floor. Since the parquet rested on a construction of plasterboard, I didn’t dare iron for more than 89 minutes.
